Another big boost was given to the Odd Fellows? new building, at the regular lodge meeting Thursday evening. The lodge by a vote instructed the Building Committee to contract at once with the local building firm of Rush & Warren for the construction of the building; on the bid made by them last year. Their bid was to put up the building for $8,400. By this action not only., will much valuable time be gained, in obviating the necessity for ad- - ver-lieing and considering new bi ds,bu t th e con t ract will be in the hands of a reliable resident | firm, which means that a much larger proportion of the cost of the building will be spent at home, (han,if some non-resident firm were to be given the contract.
