Sunday Was Our Busy Day.
Sunday was Rensselaer’s “busy , day ”in religious work. Besides the regular church services and Sunday schools in the forenoon, in the afternoon Dr. Wharton, the evangelist addressed a crowded con gregation at a men’s meeting, at the M. E. church at 3 o’clock and another about equally crowded at a women’s meeting at the Presbyterian church at 4 p’olock. Then at 6 o’clock the union young people’s meeting at the F. W. Baptist church was also very largely attended. Following this at 7:30 was Dr. Wharton's revival service at the M. E. church and Dr. Wilcock’s overflow meeting, at the Presbyterian church, both with very large congregations. By Dr. Wharton’s request, church members mostly attended the overflow meeting and the non-church members Dr Wharton’s moeti n%.-7 Attbat-meet ing quite a number “stood Up for prayers.”
