Champion Long-distance Runaway.

Moody & Roth’s little team of bronchos set the season’s record for a long-distance runaway, Tuesday. Sam Roth was just starting out from the Starr ioe house, with a big load of ice, when the clevis pin broke. The bronphca went forward like they were shot out of a gun and Sam “went off” too. but not off like a gun but cff on his head. The bronchos rah ' like the wind up through town, , but by running astride of a telephone pole, they were broken apart ' and one of them was left with the neckyoke banging its knees. They kept on through town, and northward, and out near the Burton farm the one that was handicapped with the neckyoke fell behind in the race and was caught by one of the Chestnuts. Sam in the meanwhile was using his length of limb to good advantage in following up the trail. When he reached the captured broncho he stripped off what was left of its harness, and then proceeded to do hie great barebacked act in pursuit of the otherbroncho. The chase continued within a mile of Parr before the leader was overhauled and captured. The distance ran was over six miles.
