The trial of J. Y. Walliok, at Monticello, ended Saturday, after the jury had been out 18 hours, and agreed on a compromise verdict. They found him guilty of assault and battery and fixed his punishment at six months’ imprisonment in the county jail, and a fine of >6OO. The defendant will ask for a new trial- The Monti-
