Hit the Mark But Failed to Score.

At the shooting tournament yesterday, one of the shooters mistook E. T. Pullen,’ head for a clay pigeon, and put some shot into it. Not enough perhaps to count a score, but plenty to be a close call for Pullins. Only two No. 7 shots struck him, but they went way in, penetrating the skull. The doctor got one of the shots out, but the other is rattling around in there, some place, yet, and is likely to stay there. Emmet does not mind a little thing like a few shots in his head, but if the shooter follows it up with a whole charge, Emmet wont speak to him again for a month.
