West Carpenter. John Sayers is down with a.touch of the erysipelas. His wife is also sick. Some of the snow that fell the 13th and 14th of December last is with us yet. L. S. Alter was in Chicago on business last week. Mr Shesler expects to leave Carpenter for Marion tp. next week. We’re always sorry to part with good neighbors. Lewis S. and EHen S. Alter celebrated their 23rd wedding anniversary the 17th inst. Lewis gave his wife a deed to 80 acres of good land as a wedding souvenir,
