Luke Ford Crippled.

Word has just been received of another sad occurance which has happened to the Ford family of Elwood. Luke Ford, widower of the late Bessie Foster Ford, whose recent suicide has been chronicled pretty well over this part of the state, met with an accident last Friday morning, whioh may cripple him for life, Mr. Ford is a laborer in the tinplate factory at Elwood, in one of the hardest and most dangerous positions in the factory, being in that position where the red hot bars are handled. While at work Friday mornings fellow workman struck him on the leg with a red hot bar of the metal which burned clear through the leg to the bone, severing all the tendons, making a very severe and painful injury. The occurrence was entirely accidental we are informed, and the chances are that he will be a cripple for life.
