Old Nick Revisits Porter County.

And now the devil has bobbed up again in Indiana. This time it is in Porter county, near Chesterton. The papers there are making quite a to-do about it, as though he was an unusual visitor in those parts. Evidently however, he has been there before, at least they seem to have had no trouble in recognizing him. The particular parties who saw his Satanic majesty this last trip were Mrs. Andrew Blaes and her daughter Gertrude, of near Chesterton. They ran nearly half a mile in their night clothes, to the home of a neighbor and Mrs Blaes is now seriously sick as the result of her experience. A son of hers who does not live at home, on account of being on bad terms with his father, thinks that in this case the “Old Boy” and the “Old Man” are one and the same persons. Says he has heard his father threaten his mother’s life, and thinks the costume worn by Old Nick when he pursued the women could have been found next day about his father’s premises,
