Herbert Eib of Gardner, 111., is here viaiting his parents. Miss Jennie Kirby returned borne to Pontiac Saturday. Boin, Jan. 22, to Mr. and Mrs. Milroy English, a daughter. Mr. and Mrs. Widholm, who have been visiting Mrs. Madison, of Lee, and other relatives here returned to Kankakee Tuesday, Miss Jennie Eib is on the sick list. Mr. Lehman and wife were in Rensselaer, Monday. Mr. aud Mrs. Edd Randle attended the leoture in Rensselaer Friday night. What may yet prove to be a very serious aooident occurred at the home es Mr. Eib last Sunday evening. Some of the neighbor boys were there, with their gun, whioh they loaded, ready for tbe trip home. When they were about ready to leave, the gun was aooidentally discharged. The ball pawed through one of Herbert Eib’s toes through the fleshy pert of the bottom of his foot, aud lodged in the sole of his shoe.
