Bad Barn Fire at Parr.
Another was added to quite a long list of rather recent barn burnings, Monday night. And this was one of the worst of the number, on account of the large amount of live stooklost. The barn was the one belonging to Thos. Brusnaban, a quarter mile south of Parr. The barn was destroyed and with it six horses and eight cows. Also hay* fodder, harness, part of a binder and other property. The entire loss is estimated at $1,200, and the insurance was SSOO. The fire occured about 10 o’clock at night. How it occured is not known. The usual tramp theory is advanced, and it has also been suggested that the “fodder” was damp when put in, and may have heated to the spontaneous com bustion point.
