A Big Job of Surveying.

Some weeks ago, we mentioned a survey of about 11 sections of land, by Mr. Thrawls, as being the largest single job of land surveying in the county. Lewis S. Alter has gone Mr. Thrawls one better, as he has just completed a survey of the Kent Ranch; relocating all the Government corners, and scores of other corners, in 18 sections, 7 in this county, and 11 in Newton Co., and made a topographical map of the same. Mr. Alter bad previously surveyed 20 sections, adjoining and contiguous to the east of this Ranch, and the Cooley Ranch of 12 sections just west including the east half of the old Beaver Lake bed. This made 50 sections in one body surveyed by him.
