The Early Birds Get the Rural Routes
The superintendent of the rural mail delivery in the first assistant post-master general’s office at Washington says it will require 2,000 mail routes to cover the entire state of Indiana. He said: "We ought to reach that number of routes within two years. We certainly shall be able to cover the state within three years.” And that reminds us that there is room for at least three more good routes starting from Rensselaer, and the sooner the petitions are in the sooner the routes will be established One route could take in a large part of Newton Tp., northwest Jordan and northwest Marion. Another perhaps could find good business in some more of Jordan, Milroy and southwest Marion, and still another find room and good roads in east Marion, west Hanging Grove and south Barkley. We urge that at least three more petitions covering the territory mentioned, ought to begotten up and forwarded this very winter.
