James Goodrich State Chairman.
The new Republican State committee met at Indianapolis Tuesday afternoon, to complete the organization. James P. Goodrich, of Windcheater, was unanimously elected chairman, he having been chairman for several months, since Mr. Hernley’a resignation. Geo. W. Self, of the third district was made vice chairman, and N. W. Bennett, of Indianapolis, treasurer. The committee could not agree upon a secretary, and will meet again to elect one on Jan. 30th. At which time, also the state convention will probably be arranged for. T. J. McCoy, of Rensselaer, the committeeman for the tenth district, attended the meeting.
