Frank Hanly Wins at Lafayette.
There were lively times in Lafayette Saturday, during the Republican organizing conventions, it being a fight between the J, Frank Harily and the Geo. P. Haywood forces. After it was over both sides claimed the victory, but when the show-down came Monday, and the central committee met to complete its organization, the Haywood forces were scarcely in sight. Chas. C. Thompson, Hanly’s man. was elected county chairman over Joseph Foresman, the Haywood candidate by a vote of 54 to 2. Mr. Hanly is one of the ablest and cleanest Republican leaders in Indiana, and we are glad to see that the Republicans of Tippecanoe county are standing by him, in preference to the small and envious faction there that is against him. m ;
