Will Stay In Hammond.

The G. H. Hammond Packing company of Hammond, whose plant was destroyed by fire recently, made the statement that the company would leave Hammond and locate in Chicago. The loss of the plant and its thousands of workmen would be a serious blow to the town. But since the impression that Hammond would lose the plant was given out the company has been letting contracts preparatory to rebuilding in that town.
