A Year of Extremes.

The weather for the year 1901 will long be remembered because of the great extremes. Compared with a record of thirteen years, 1901 gave the hottest day, hottest month, hottest July day, the hottest August day, the coldest December, the dry eat July and the wettest October. The maximum temperature was recorded July 24, when the mercury reached 105 and the minimum Dec. 15. when a temperature of 15 below was recorded. This shows a range of 119 degrees.
