In Poor Asylums.
Reports to the Board of State Charities show that the population of Indiana poor asylums has decreased in the past ten years. In 1891 it was 3,253 and in 1901 it was 3,091. It is thought that the change for the better is due to new laws and proper supervision. During the last year new asylums have been erected in Orange, Adams and Benton counties.
