He Is Reported Quite 11l ut His Home in England. Lord Strathcona, who is reported to be quite ill at his home in England, is the British high commissioner for Canada,

and ,is himself a thorough Canadian, although a native of Scotland. He crossed the Atlantic as a boy, and became a clerk iu the service of the Hudson Bay Company. He grew up with the new country and became part owner of the Hudson Bay Company and other great financial Institutions.
