How They Do It at Pontiac.

J,T. Bawdin, of Pontiac, 111., was here Wednesday, looking after his land in Barkley Tp. He brought a recent Pontiac paper which gave an aooonnt of the way the people of that enterprising city go to work to establish factories, when they take a notion. A company was organized there with $50,000 home capital to start a shoe factory. And to provide it was a goodly bonns, a factory addition was laid'jpnt. When all was ready the lots were pot on sale, and in 45 minutes 150 lots were sold, at S2OO per lot; amounting in all to SOO,OOO. Pontiac is a place of about 4,500 population.
