A Case of Till-Tapping.

There was a case of till-tapping jin town, some nights ago. Some lone slipped into Vernon Nowels “case” on Van Rensselaer street, and got a way with sl4. the oontents of the cash drawer. The thief or tbeivesalso showed their epicurean appreciation of good things for the palate, by taking away a number of Vernon’s choicest pies and of the latest vintage. The matter of the. robbery was kept quiet in hopes that (be snper-exoellent quality of the pies would cause the theives to founder themselves by over eating, and thus lead to their detection. But as no snoh result has oocured it has now been concluded that the robbery was the work [of case-hardened hoboes, who are immune to the effects of pie, of any kind and in any quantity.
