The protracted meeting still continues at this place. Great interest is being taken in the meeting. Bro. Winnie Bherrill is conducting the meeting. Bro. Bird being called away on the account of sickness. It was reported Christmas Day that this place was blessed , with a wedding but it is getting used to such occasions now, and if they want to be noticed on their wedding day they want to leave this town Wilbur Hoshaw and little brother Sammie, Lemuel Hammertou and Mrs. Nancy Norris, of Rensselaer, ate turkey at David Elder’s Christmas Day. Also John Nells and sister Armenia from this'place. All report a good time and plenty of turkey. There was an oyster supper at Jesse Shaffer’s Christmas night. Mrs. Davjd Elder and daughters. Ada and Ida attended the Christmas exercises at Rensselaer Baptist Xmas Eve. Levi Chupp and wife and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Rowen and children spent Christmas with Mr. Charles Rowen and family. Miss Otiie Blankenbaker also at tended the Christmas tree at Rensselaer. School commences next Monday morning after a week’s vacation. Miss Ada Elder, of Rensselaer, came home for a visit with her sister who is about to take her departure for good. Listen for the bells in the near future. Mell Woods, who is making his home with his sister, Mrs, Frank Gant, was visiting at our burg Christmas Day, Doc. Kirk’s Christmas tree in his big bay window attracted a great deal of attenti on. Mr. and Mrs. B. H. Shaffer visited with their sons Christmas Day.
