The first National Bank in Chicago, will next May begin the erection of a $4,000,000 building, on Clark and Monroe streets. It will be twioe as large as the Masonic Temple, and much handsomer from an architectural point of view. It is to be hoped it will be for the Masonic Temple is about as attractive arohiteoturally as a big grain elevator. Good buildings, to the valne es $500,000, or as muoh as all the business and public building in Rensselaer, will be torn down to make room for the new building.
