Thinks Oklahoma Is All Right.

George C. Biuce, who is now a land agent at Lawton, the new Oklahoma oity, arrived here yesterday for a two weeks’ visit with relatives. Lawton, whioh was the chief of the boom cities in last summer’s land lottery, has taken on a quite permanent appearance. Substantial business blocks and many good residences have been built within a few months and a rushing business is being done. George promptly denies the report reoently sent out from there that there was a great amount of suffering during the oold Weather. He says that there are very few poverty stricken people there. Most of the people have money and work at good wages is plentiful. George .recently purchased a relinquishment claim near Sterling, which he will prove up. He says good quarter section tracts can be bought at very reasonable figures and he believes they offer better advantages to farmers of moderate means than oan be secured in any other place in the anion.
