An Only Child’s Sad Death.
A moet lamentable aooident occured Friday evening, Dec. 27th, at Milford, Kosoiusco county, the victim being the son of a former resident of Jasper oounty. It was Orville Posey, only child of Mr. and Mrs. Will Posey, operator and station agent at Milford. Full particulars have not been received; but the boy was playing in a box car, when it was either bumped backward or started forward suddenly, and the boy was thrown out r and the car wheel struck and crushed his head. He was nine years old last June. Mr. Posey, the boy’s father, was formerly from Gillam Tp„ and was for several years agent of the Three I. railroad, at DeMotte. The unfortunate boy was also a grandson of Mrs. A. W. Prevo of Gillam, and step-grandson of Mr. Prevo; and, as we are informed, Mr. and Mrs. Prevo were visiting the boy’s parents at Milford, when the sad accident oocured. The boy’s mother was a Peregrine, with many relatives around Tefft and McCoysburg. The remains will be brought baok to Gillam Tp., and the funeral held at the Independence Chapel, Sunday at lLa. m.
