Have Increased Wages.
Last week the trainmen on the Monon road demanded a revision of the schedule of the hours of work and the wages. President MoDoel promised the committee appointed by the Brotherhood of Trainmen, that he would take the matter under consideration, The trainmen and the company have reached an agreement which is satisfactory to both parties. Mr. MoDoel has promised the com* mitte that he will increase the wages of all through freight trainmen and all the local crews, except the Chicago local crews. All switchmen will have their wages increased except those employed in the yards at Michigan City. The hours which constitute a day’s work for all trainmen and switchmen will be shortened.
