Gillam and the Oil Fields.

R. E. Farlow is visiting friends at Brookston, Ind., this week. Fred Stiers started last Monday, for South Dakota. If he likes the country he will make it his future home. The last oil well Will Lee drilled on the Rouse farm proved to be a fine one of pure oil standing at the top of the ground. After working in the oil field for two years Will Lee has taken a layoff and has gone to his home in Wabash. Creo, Comer and Joe Stinger didn’t go to South Dakota as mentioned last week, it is cold enough here at present for them. Mr. and Mrs. Alva Hershman have taken a sweet little girl to raise.
