Not Up to Her Ideals.

A little New York girl’s idea of a farmer is evidently taken from the funny pictures printed by the papers of her native town. This particular little girl is visiting in Albany, and while out walking the other day was asked if she wanted to go down through the public market and see the farmers. “Farmers?” she said, questionlngly. “Yes, farmers. Don’t you know what farmers are?” qsked her escort. “Oh, yes,” was the answer. “They wear boots and straw hats and people sell them things.” She couldn’t quite make the real thing gibe with her comic picture idea. —Albany Journal.
