Representative farmers and land owners in some parts of the state, will unite in an effort to induce the next legislature to pass a law similar to the one in Californte which provides for spraying fruit trees with a solution to kill inseot pests. It has boon demonstrated in some countries that perfeot apples, pears, peaches and other native fruits can be raised if the trees are treated with a proper solution at certain times. In California the law is made imperative and every owner of fruit trees must spray at certain seasons with a solution that is deadly to the epecial inseot that works on that particular form of plant life. The movement is sure to reoeive substantial aid in many parts of Indiana, and the assurance is held out by experienced horticulturists that the effect of the enforcement of such a law would be an abundant and regular yield of fruit.
