Railroad Passes.
Railroad passes will be so limited in number the ooming year that those who receive such favors may well consider their “pull” equal to that of a congressman, while those who can make a general passenger agent believe that they are entitled to even a trip pass may regard themselves as among the most favored of mortals. This restriction in the granting of passes is largely due to investigations still in progress under the direction of the five great passenger associations which show that the pass system has been greatly abused. That a commercial value has been placed upon favors of the “heartless corporations” is beyond question, and the number .of passes issued in the future wiil be reduced to a minimum. Within a year the pass system may be entirely abolished,
