Johu Binkard, who brutally murdered his wife at Marion in June, 1900, will be hanged at the Prison North Jan. 17. The judgment oonvioting Binkard of murder in the first degree was confirmed by the Supreme Court a few days ago. When Binkard was tried he did not deny that he had murderedj his wife, his plea being insanity. He was first sentenced to be executed on Aug, 23, but a stay of execution was granted until Jan. 17, until the Supreme Court oould rule on the appeal. Binkard was about sixty years old when he killed his wife.
