We Cotched a Coon.

The killing of a ‘‘coon” inside the oorporatiion limits of Rensselaer is not too oommon an event now days, not to deserve mention, whatever it may be in the civilized regions down south. Such an event oooured Tuesday, and the ooon was a whopping big one, and very fat, and like ooons of all colors and of all generations, he no doubt had a discriminating taste for fat ohickens, especially those too fat to roost high. This ooon lynohing oooured at Starr’s ice house, south of Granville Moody’s residence. He was ohased by some boys and took refuge in the ice house, where he was oornered and killed. He was a four footed ring-tailed ooon, and therefore his pelt was deemed worthy of preserving.
