Independent System Growing.

The growth of the independent telephone industry is fairly sweeping the northern section of the state. Logansport, Peru and South Bend are being equipped with HiA finest of new independent plants, and franchise has just been granted to a Ft. Wayne syndicate to put in an independent system at Hammond. This, when the plant is compteted, will give independent telephone service to practically every town in the northern part of the state.
