The County Commissioners.

Halstead & Yeoman were granted permission to run a telephone line from John Marti ndale’s residence to Mt. Ayr. County officers reported fees for quarter ending Nov. 30, and turned over to the county, as follows: R, B. Porter, recorder, $748.80 W. C. Babcock, auditor, $100.15 J. F. Major, clerk, $526.67 A. G. Hardy, sheriff, $377.76 C. M. Blue, trustee of Marion Tp. t was given permission to render aid to 10 persons, to an amount not to exceed sls each per quarter. The official bond of R. A, Parkison, for his second term as county treasurer was approved. It is in the sum of $160,000. Contracts were let for 8 small bridges; 4 steel bridges to the Attica Bridge Co., 2 in Newton Tp., 1 in Milroy and 1 in Jordan, for $1,424. One steel bridge, in Walker, to the New Castle Bridge Co. for $710; and three wooden bridges, 1 in Walker and 2 in Barkley-, to John Hack, of Lowell, for $240 each.
