Special to the Evening Call. " Rensselaer, Ind., Dec. 3. —The South Bend team met the Rensselaer Athletios at Riverside Park yesterday afternoon in the most stubbornly contested game of the season, and notwithstanding the faot that Bonth Bend was reinforced by three of Notre Dame’s best men, the score was 0 to 0. After the game O’Dea said: "Rensselaer has a wonderful team, and plays a clean game. A much stronger game than we expected. We thought we would win easily. Rensselaer can defeat Purdue and Indiana and give Notie Dame the hardest game she has had this season. We strengthened our team with Winter, Fortin and Lins of Notre Dame, but were nnable to do anything with Rensselaer’s line. Paroels of Rensselaer is a wonder, and Sayler the best kicker I have seen this season. This will be the last time I will ever wear a foot ball uniform. I intended going from Rensselaer to Australia, but have decided to remain in Bonth Bend and practice law.”
