$60,000 Gift to Purdue.

Mrs. Eliza Fowler, of Lafayette, widow of Moses Fowler t has placed in the hands of President Stone, of Pnrdue University a oheok for $60,000 to be used for the construction of an assembly hall for the university. The announcement of the gift was made at the regular convocation. In the afternoon all work was suspended and the entire stndentbody over one thousand in number marched behind the Purdne band to the home of Mrs, Fowler to express their appreciation.
