Cables from Argentina reiterate the statement that the weather there continues unfavorable for the growing crop*. It is claimed there is a grain blockade at Buffalo, elevators all full, though there are less than 4,000,000 bushels of corn and wheat in store there. Kansas City parties bought in the Chicago market the other day 20,000 bushels of corn to be shipped there, which certainly shows especial scarcity in that section. The freight is about 4c per bushel. A mutton buyer who operates extensively in northern Montana says that shipments this season promise to be about one-half the number sent to market last year. Up to the present time about 400 cars of mutton have been shipped from northern Montana points since the season began, while the total last year was nearly 1,200 cars.
