Those Janney Husking Machines.

We have had a considerable access of information, from another point of view, regarding the Janney Common Sense Corn Buskers and Shredders, since our previous article a week or two ago. The machine which, then worked very nicely at Jud Perkins and M. P. Warner’s, was very soon after that laid up as unsatisfactory, and we learn, that the same thing has been done with several others of the same make. The fault of the machine seems to be that while it will do good work under specially favorable conditions, that when an attempt is made to work it fast enough to make it a profitable investment, it will not do the work, and especially will not properly husk the corn. Delos Thompson has one of the machines and we were previously told that he was running it right along and was well pleased with it. Ou being personally interviewed on those points, he says he owns one of the machines and operates it, but would not buy another at any price.
