Gillam and the Oil Field*. Edwin Faris of Chalmers was up visiting relatives and friends in this vicinitv Thursday. •i • Misses Bernice and Gusta Saylor of Rensselaer were visitors in Gillam Saturday and Sunday. Harry Robinson and wife left Tuesday evening for South Bend. John Comer of Kewanna was in the oil field last Thursday. The N. Y. oil company from Chicago was out Friday inspecting their plant and making preparations for the winter. Guild & Robinson have quite adot of hay for shipment at Asphaltum. Mr. Preston and son are putting down the seventh well on the Stinger lease. Tom Brewer is lying very low with consumption at the home of Tob Brick.
