Joseph Keith Executed.

Joseph D. Keith was hanged at a few minutes after midnight, last Friday morning, at Miohigan City prison. Previous to his execution he made a written confession in which he admitted the murder of Nora Kifer.

A strange feature of the oase was the very slight -effort made by Keith’s family and attorneys to secure executive clemency. There are pretty good reasons for believ / ing that Governor Burbin would have commuted his sentence to life imprisonment if his relatives had made a strong effort in that direction.
