Saturday’s Foot Ball Game.

The Kniman foot ball team, although exhibiting a great deal of nerve and much better staying qualities than the majority of new timber teams, was a weak proposition when lined up against Rensselaer, and the game was a farcical representation of the real thing. For Kniman, Ord Hanley, Jadie Martindale and Martens did the best work, but they were unable to cope with the drilled foot ball warriors from the county seat, and were defeated by a score of 34 to 0. This was the last foot ball game to be played in which Rensselaer will have a snap. The schedule for the remainder of the season is to include only teams of well-founded reputation, and the contests hereafter will be of the tooth and toenail variety.
