A Church Building Fund Movement.

Mesdames P. W. Clarke, Charles Robinson, J. L. Brady and Ed Hopkins entertained the ladies of the Christian church in honor of their pastor and wife, Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Ward who departed for their new field of labor in Martinsville, Ind., on Thursday morning. At Mrs. Ward’s suggestion a Twentieth Century Building Fund was started. One lady represents the year by paying $5. Twelve persons xepresenting the months pay $2, the 4 weeks sl, 7 day 50c etc., to be paid during the year, as a nucleus for church building fund. The attendance was large and Mr. Ward addressed the assembly briefly in very appropriate and encouraging words, after which Mrs. Ward in a few well chosen sentences expressed her appreciation for the numerous evidences of friendship and kindness on part of the ladies of the church during the two years of association.
