The City Council.
New cement walks were ordered on Elza street, from Vine to Clark, and on Clark street from Elza to Milroy, all in the northwest part cf town. Weston Cemetery trustees report the sale of five SSO Lts and four SIOO lots. Treasurer reports balances on hand: Corporation fund ...$2,134.60 Road fund 96.23 Water fund 1,687.71 Electric light 168.28 Other funds as at last report. The city commissioners filed preliminary report of improvement of Van Rensselaer, Harrison, Cullen, Rjiver, Forest and Merritt streets. Commissioners ordered to assess benefits on same Nov. 13th. The street committee was ordered to repair and macadamize the west approach to the Washington street bridge. The superintendent of the city light and water plants was ordered to install lights for new applicants as rapidly as the work can be done. The superintendent was also directed to comply with the orders of the state faotory inspector to provide guards for the belts and pulleys at the water and light station. Some 22 claims were allowed, aggregating $322.38.
