Miss Ola Harbert of Monon spent Sunday with friends near this place, Quite a number ofour people attended the entertainment at McCovsburg last Saturday night. W. O. Carrothers spent Saturday and Sunday with his family south of town. He returned Sunday evening to near Mt. Ayr where he is teaching this winter. Lou Matthews of Brookston Sundayed with his sisters, Mrs. D. E. Noland, A. B. Lewis is overseeing his farm this winter while his foreman has charge of the store at this* place in which he has an interest. Abe Lewis accompanied his father and mother from Remington last week. He returned Tuesday. A party of campers claiming to be from Shelby are encamped in the grove north of town. Mrs. E. W. Maxwell is some better at this writing. Rev, O. Ji. Chivington filled his appointment at this place Sunday, The new song books have arrived and the young people are practicing quite frequently in them in order to render them satisfactorily.
