GILLAM AND THE OIL FIELD.

Rev. Hanley is holding protracted meetings at the West Vernon church, cj Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Rayburn were visitors of Mr and Mrs. Edwin Faris at Chalmers. The Jasper Co. Oil Company are putting in their second big power, this one will be put on the Hershman lease. The federal Oil and Asphaltum Co. has shutdown their power and rigs, owing to the delay in getting coal on the road. Herman Flugal has recently struck the third well on section 33 in the past two weeks, all are paying well. The St, Joe Co. has shedded their pumping rig. Mr, H, Robinson contemplates pumping the well on section 33 day and night it being a good producer. The New York Oil Development Co has shut down for a few days, waiting for a few repairs for their gasoline engine, One of the pumpers of the St. Joe Oil Co. went to sleep and let cne of the oil tanks run over, losing several barrels of oil.
