NORTHWEST BARKLEY. Joe Nelson’s baby is very bad sick. Miss Jennie McCleary visited her mother over Sunday. Rev. Byrd will preach at In dependence week from Sunday night. Several from this vicinity attended the Dunkarks’ soup meeting last week, SHARON. Farmers busy gathering corn. Mr. and Mrs. Marion Adams and family visited Mrs. Adam’s brother at Wheatfield Saturday" and Sunday. Kenton Blankenship has moved into Mrs. Leurs residence west of the Slaughter school house. Quite a number of young folks from here joined a merry crowd from the prarie, at the hospitable home of A. G. Farmer and spent a pleasant evening Saturday night. Preaching at Slaughter school house every two weeks at 11 o clock by Rev. Taylor. Chas. Slaughter and wife visited friends at Wolcott Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Mayo are entertaining friends from Bondville, 11l , this week. John Daley went to Lafayette Tuesday,
