We are through hauling gravel iu this corner, for the present. That was a fine rain we had, it helped the rye and roads very muob, Kd Price’s barn is under head, way now. D. A. Elder and son are doing the work.

John Garriott expects to build an addition to his house. Mr. Kiglit, the saloon man, has sold his property occupied by the barber to S. Davison and Shelby Comer. J. Fleming, the organ agent of Wheatfield, was in our neighborhood Friday. He sola two, one to David Elder and the other one to Chas Martin, Charles Martin has sold property to Mrs. Mary Greenfield for seoo, then he bought 20 acres oF S. P. Thompson just north of Chas Rowen. Uncle Jacob Reed has moved on the place were Chas Rowen lived the previous year. There will be quite a change this year. Eli Stutzman has commenced building on the two acres he just bought of Daniel Stutzman. Miss Ida Reed returned Saturday from a three weeks’ visit at Frankfort. David Wells and family returned home Thursday to Newman, 111., after a short visit with his two daughters and son. We bid them a hearty good bye and hope they will come again.
