Jesse Mundell es Medaryville is digging potatoes for J. H. McNeese, Charles Guild and C„ Robinson of Medaryville were Newland visitors one day last week, T. M. Callahan is having an addition built to his store room 16x20 which will make his store room 44x20. Lee Jessup of Rensselaer is doing the work, Freeman Gifford of Laura, was here on business Saturday. Clyde Burris had the misfortune to fall and break his arm, one day last week. Miss Maggie Callahan returned from Chicago Sunday where she had been visiting her sister for the past two months. Perry O’Meara has gone to Chicago to stay, he got tired painting? Fred Tyler our school teacher went to Rensselaer Friday night. Dennis Casto and wife have a new boarder, came to stay Friday, its a boy and weighs pounds.
