A Prodigous Rainfall.

The rain storm which began here late Friday afternoon, and was ushered in by considerable thunder and lightning, has proved to be one of the biggest rainstorms of the present year. The rain fall was almost continuous from the start, and much of the time it came down very fast. As shown by the government rain guage the rainfall was the enormous quantity of 3| during the 24 or 25 hours the rain lasted. The rain was needed for pastures* and fall grain, and for plowing and for stook water, but it surely is enough for all purposes, for weeks to oome.
