Rural Route News.

It is j ust a } ear ago today October 15th, since Rural Free Delivery Route No. 1, first began operations. The carrier, John T. Daugherty has never missd a single trip in that time. Running every day except such holidays as the department ordered. His substitute carrier has never been called on once, and Mr. Daugherty has probably forgotten who he is, and it is doubtful if the substitute himself remembers that he is a substitute, Orders for starting Route No. 2 have not yet been received, but are loosed for at any tim e.
