Obituary.

Mrs. Ethie Tyler wife of Joseph L. Tyler died at her residence Thursday Oct. 3rd, 1901 aged 29 years, 11 months and 2 days. The funeral was held at the DeMotte M. E. church Friday Ootober 4th, Rev. J. H. Lewis and, Rev. Jas. O’May officiating. There is special sadness in the fact that two weeks had scarcely passed since this family buried their infant child. Little Paul 3 years old is left in care of his father. Not only one home lost a mother and wife but the community has lost one of its purest lilies and most cheerful of friends, a consecrated ohristian, a devoted friend, a loving wife, an ideal woman, there goes from our midst one whose influence will long be felt. The song birds tune is silent, The lilies perfume gone, The world seems all so silent Since we are left alone. Its a long ways off to Heaven, And still its very near For a mother’s smiles and a dear wife’s tears Are bending on us here. In Heaven there’s one more angel, On earth there’s one less friend, But there we’ll meet in sweet retreat Where tears and sorrows end, Rev. Jas. O’May.
